The Third District Court of Appeal Historical Society was formed for a very important purpose: to commemorate and preserve the Court's history. Specifically, the Society's mission is to preserve the Court's historical records; to create further records, in print and electronic media; to document the history and achievements of the Court; and to educate the public about the workings of the Court and the judicial system. |

On May 25, 2012, the Historical Society hosted a retirement ceremony and reception in honor of Judge Juan Ramirez, Jr. who retired after twenty-four years of service. |

On May 13th, 2011, the Third DCA Historical Society held its bi-annual Luncheon with the Judges at the Hyatt Regency in Coral Gables, Florida.
