The Third District Court of Appeal 50th Anniversary Banquet
was held on June 22, 2007
The Third District Court of Appeal celebrated its fiftieth anniversary on July 1, 2007. The celebration was planned and coordinated by the Third District Court of Appeal Anniversary Committee, Inc., co-chaired by Kathleen O’Connor, Esq. of the law firm of Thornton, Davis & Fein and Ed Guedes, Esq. of Greenberg Traurig. The celebration culminated with a gala dinner on the evening of June 22, 2007.
In order to commemorate the event and memorialize the history of the court for the community in the future, the Committee produced both a written and oral history of the court. The Committee encapsulated its work in a videographic court history. On the anniversary date of the court, the Committee was transformed into the Third District Court of Appeal Historical Society and its work will be maintained at the court for the benefit of future generations.
