- How do I obtain photocopies of court documents?
If you know exactly what documents you need copied, please contact the clerk’s office for arrangements to have your request faxed to the clerk’s office. A deputy clerk will call you when the photocopies have been made. Generally, it takes a couple of days to process your request.

The oral argument is recorded and copied to a CDROM. You must have a computer to view the recording. Submit your request to the clerk’s office in writing along with the $25.00 fee and a self-addressed stamped mailer. Generally, it takes a week to process your request.

THE THIRD DISTRICT COURT OF APPEAL DOES NOT HAVE AN AFTER HOURS DROP BOX LOCATED AT THE COURTHOUSE AT 2001 S.W. 117 AVENUE, but the Dade County Bar Association sponsors a drop box located at the Dade County Courthouse, 73 West Flagler Street. You must be a member of the Dade County Bar Association, and pay a fee to use the box.

- What will be the filing date of the documents filed in the Dade County Bar Association’s drop box?
The date stamp on the documents filed in the Dade County Bar Association’s drop box will be the previous business day before the drop box is delivered to this court. For example, if a motion is dropped in the box at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, and the box is delivered to this court on Monday, the motion will be clocked in with Friday’s date.

You may only file a pleading by fax if you have received prior permission by the Court. Fax filings are only accepted on emergency or expedited matters.
