Judge Gerald B. Cope, Jr. will retire from the Court on October 31, 2010, and will join the Akerman Senterfitt law firm’s Miami office. Judge Cope served as a member of the Court for 21 years, and was its Chief Judge 2005-2007. |

The Court will celebrate the life of the late Judge Thomas H. Barkdull, Jr. on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. here at the Court. The speakers will be Judge Alan R. Schwartz, Judge Gerald B. Cope, Jr., Bob Butterworth and Dexter Douglass. Everyone is invited to share in this occasion. |

The Court sadly announces the passing of former Chief Judge Thomas H. Barkdull, Jr., who died on July 13, 2010 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He served as a member of this Court from 1961 to 1996. The Courthouse is named in his honor.
