	On September 11, 2007, Chief Judge David Gersten became the President of the Florida Conference of District Court of Appeal Judges Judge Gersten was unanimously elected at last year’s annual meeting.  He will serve as the Conference President for a one-year term until September 2008.  Judge Gersten gave a special PowerPoint presentation on the purposes and functions of the Conference, and announced the creation of a special committee on Collegiality. Judge David M. Gersten Becomes Chief Judge of the Third District Court of Appeal On July 1, 2007, Judge David M. Gersten became the chief judge of the Third District Court of Appeal.  The judges of the court unanimously elected him to this position.  Judge Gersten will serve a two-year term from July 1, 2007 until June 30, 2009. 	Court's 50th Anniversary Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal celebrated its 50th anniversary on July 1, 2007.  On behalf of the Court, I would like to thank all of the members of the Third District Court of Appeal 50th Anniversary Committee ...
